We have fantastic news! Starting this spring, you can rent our roof tents in Copenhagen, thanks to our new collaboration with Anne Brusvang and Kristian Toft, two dedicated roof tent enthusiasts passionate about making camping life accessible to more people.
This year at Taktältarna, we have started selling roof tents to Danish customers via the webshop, so it is especially exciting that we can now also offer rentals of our roof tents in Denmark's capital.
Copenhagen residents Anne Brusvang and Kristian Toft have extensive experience with roof tents and love the freedom they provide. For several years, they have used their roof tent of our Åreskutan model on both planned and spontaneous adventures. Last summer, they also started renting out their own roof tent and now want to take it to the next level.
• How did you come to start a roof tent rental business in Copenhagen?
– We wanted to share the experience with others and thought it was a shame that our tent just sat in storage when we weren't using it. Many in Copenhagen don’t have space to store a roof tent, or they just want to try it occasionally. This has led to many great encounters with other people who want to camp comfortably – which a roof tent truly enables!
• Can you recommend some good areas to explore with a roof tent in Denmark?
– One of our favorite spots is on the northern coast of Zealand, near Munkerup, where we made our very first trip with a roof tent in 2020. Right by the beach there is a small parking lot surrounded by forest, creating the perfect environment for a spontaneous outing.
• Since wild camping is not allowed in Denmark, do you have any good campsites to recommend?
– There are many nice places, but our absolute favorite is Byaasgaard Nature Camping, which is built with ecological principles in mind. It is located by a small fjord and is a wonderful place for both families and couples to relax, enjoy the beautiful Danish nature, savor a good breakfast basket, and take a dip in the calm water.
